Maurice Bower studied at the School of Industrial Art in Philadelphia under the direction of Howard Pyle, one of the fathers of American Illustration. While there, Bower learned the art of revealing human emotion and emphasizing through the entire composition employing line, color and detail. Energy and activity can be felt in Bower’s paintings, making them a dynamic and exciting choice for a set of note cards.
