Resilient  Market

2012 has been an interesting year with economic issues in Europe, fuel cost problems and National debt in the US…but, the Market continues to move forward. The consumer is feeling better and starting to open up their wallets and spend a little. Retail sales are up 6% to date and could be better if fuel cost would stabilize. With that said, hopefully we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The markets have been strong and buying levels have been on the upswing to date. Now hopefully, the goods will sell through so we can build on volume and not replace.
 
We are still seeing interest and a growth with our licensees in Europe which is encouraging. Initial response from many licensees in the US regarding reaction to product and sales for the first quarter of 2012 has been good. We still feel most are proceeding with caution.
 
We continue to work to keep current with trend. We recently reworked and updated several of our images using on-trend color waves and styles.

We also continue to search for new artwork in the archive. Mad Men back on the air, brings additional demand to our Men at the Top offering as well as Leading Ladies. If you are not familiar with these groups of images, let us know and we will send you a sampling.

Cartoons continue to create interest and we have several licensees taking advantage of the iconic collection on their products.
 
We are thrilled to have had images from our archive selected to be featured on two popular TV shows in May. Both Modern Family and Glee will incorporate images into their shows mid – May. We had an opportunity to read the script and we think it will be great.
 
We are finalizing plans for the upcoming 2012 Surtex Show in NYC and the Licensing Show in Las Vegas. We look forward to seeing many of you at these shows. We be in touch soon to schedule appointments.  See you soon!
